Hackathon Challenge

Quantum Girls Hackathon will take your education to the next level and connect you with others in the quantum community.

The hackathon is a FREE event, open to all students in years 5-10.

The closing date for Semester 1 is Friday, June 21st, with the winners showcased at a Girls in STEM event on Tuesday, 25th June 2024.

Hackathons introduce students to the basic concepts of quantum science, quantum computing and inspire curiosity by challenging students with interesting and sometimes mind-bending challenges. Hackathons are design to:

  • Foster creativity, critical thinking, and problemsolving skills

  • Promote teamwork and collaboration, and

  • Cultivate a continuing interest in STEM and its application.

You don’t need to be a science nerd to develop quantum thinking. Our hackathons include music, art, drama and stories, as well as quantum coding, quantum science and quantum entrepreneurship.

Hackathons will be centrally organised but will take place at various locations across Australia at the end of school semesters.
